| I thought some of you might want to know why I have been absent. It is quite simple. I have been working on a update to my site. For a long time now I have been thinking of the Pro's and Con's or upgrading to a dynamical site. So I thought I'd list them here.
Pro's You do not have to edit the HTML files when submitting new content You have it easier to manage the site You can easily set up so users can have accounts
Con's Not all webbrowsers support PHP Not all servers support PHP and SQL There are a lot more files
Right now I have finished the customization of something called Xaraya, it is a DHTML website, finished for you, although, since I do not like finished stuff I had to customize it, and that's what I have been doing this week. Right now I'm uploading around 9.800 files to the server, it will take a hour or so due to our stupid broadband host.
Xaraya is easy to use, and it is Open Source. I think it is based on PostNuke which was based on PHPNuke, but I prefer Xaraya, since I have been working with it before. So, if anyone want a easy to manage PHP website, then get Xaraya. _________________
