Guild Wars
I got Guild Wars last friday.
It is quite good, it works with dial up but sometimes it freezes for atleast 10s.
They say it is all about skill, which I think is a lie, for starters if you are able to level up it can't be skill because at low levels you can't get all the benefits from your weapons (well, atleast the GOTY bonus weapons) and when you level up you get more HP etc. ANother reason is it's combat system, since it 'auto' attacks it can't be all skill either as you can't 'choose' where abouts to hit the monster.
One thing I didn't like about it was after it installed, it had to download 80mb which took 6 hours, then once I created a character it had to download about 120mb then it does more downloading through out it. The data file starts of at 1.1gb when you install it (maybe including the 80mb) mine is 1.43gb. On the case it says it needs 2gb free space, does that mean eventually it would have downloaded 900mb? The progess bar makes no sence when it is downloading, its not done by size or by files left, last night it had to download 500 files, when it had 169 left it said it was 50% done and it had done about 4.4mb, the 169 files left were 2mb because once it did them all it downloaded about 6.4mb and when it had to download 120mb it had to download 14453 files, at 50% it had 6000 left, the last 45% was about 20mb there fist 55% was about 104mb, it makes no sence.

Re: Guild Wars
I tried it on my MacBook like half a year ago, and me and Philip got really confused about that progress bar.
We got it to work after like 2 hours though, but...
Meh, I didn't like it.

Re: Guild Wars
I know it can take forever to install everything, I have all the campaigns installed, but all of it only takes up 4.1gb for me so it's not that bad. Also, once you have it all installed you'll notice that the game will go alot faster, unless your internet is bad in which case you are DOOMED to a slow game. Mwahahaha.

Re: Guild Wars
What do you mean? Guild Wars works pretty well with dial up, until it comes to having to download that is.
Currently, the size of GW is 4.5GB so you are still missing about 400mb of the game
